Mission Statement
The Yearbook/VMA program exists not only to capture and encapsulate the history made by our parents and student body every school year, but also strives to promote a spirit of unity and pride within our school, while honoring our savior Jesus Christ in everything we do.
"Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people." -Colossians 3:23
More than a club or class, the Yearbook/VMA program runs like a student internship. We take each student's God given abilities and build upon them to produce real world marketable skills in the 21st century. Our interns are challenged to grow out of their comfort zone both socially and professionally in preparation for their future regardless of career path.
Yearbook/VMA is open to high school students in 9-12th grade.
Areas Covered: Graphic Design, Photography, Photo Editing, Video Editing & Production, Public Relations & Promotions, Social Media Marketing, Journalism & Reporting, and Yearbook Design.
Heritage Christian School is a Quill & Scroll International Honorary Society charter (chapter), giving Yearbook/VMA program students who meet the requirements the opportunity to be recommended for membership to the society. Approved membership allows student to obtain and walk in their senior graduation ceremony wearing a blue and gold honorary cord.
Skills can be learned but character and passion go a long way.
Our abilities come from the Lord. Therefore we give our best back to represent Him and our school.
Teamwork is crucial in our line of work, therefore building good relationships within our team is essential.
