Parents and students of all ages are welcome to join us as we begin the day in the main sanctuary at 9:10 a.m. with prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance, announcements, and some encouragement in your homeschool journey. It's a blessing to start our day in this way!
Classes begin at 9:35 am. We offer a well rounded selection of both enrichment and academic classes for Elementary, Jr. High and High School. We have a nursery and preschool program (newborn to 5 yrs old) staffed by Heritage moms to care for your little ones while you are working with your teaching team.
If you are a new family interested in joining Heritage, please feel free to visit us during one of our class days for a time to get to know us and our campus. Send us an email to let us know when you would like to come.
We have a campus-wide lunch break from 11:30 am - 12:20 pm. You may pack your own picnic lunch or pre-order a lunch from our lunch team to enjoy in the fellowship hall or the courtyard. Lunch time is a great way to interact with other families.
Please join us in the Parent Fellowship Room during your off period for coffee and other refreshments, fellowship, and encouragement with other Heritage Christian School EC families. We have a wonderful homeschooling community waiting for you to tap into!
Emily Weld, a 2nd generation homeschooler, San Diego native, and HCS graduate (1995), who is in her 13th year of homeschooling her children ages 17, 14, 11 and 7 all through Heritage and Classical Conversations. As a family, they enjoy working in the yard, church involvement, raising service dogs, backpacking, and traveling to visit family spread around the country. Personally, Emily enjoys running, gardening, and reading biography or history books. She and her husband Andy have been married for 19 years and are excited and challenged to pass on the blessing of a godly heritage to their children in pursuit of glorifying Jesus and making Him known.
