The surf club will continue to meet throughout the school year!

We have surfers on all levels: novice through experienced! Students help each other learn and we are often blessed with knowledgeable adults who volunteer to assist.

This will be a time for HCS students to catch some waves together!

WHO?

HCS students enrolled at any level (and their parents!)

Mentor surfers willing to assist the novices

WHERE?

La Jolla Shores, meet at the north restrooms (NOT the restrooms by the playground)

WHEN?

Fridays from 8:00am-9:30am

REQUIREMENTS

-Must be an excellent swimmer

-Must have your own board

DRESS CODE

Guys: (wet suit suggested November —March) otherwise swim trunks and rash guard
Gals: (wet suit suggested November—March) otherwise modest one piece swim suit or rash guard suit

Surf Board Recommendations

Beginner - Long foam board

Intermediate - fiberglass or foam long board

Advanced - fiberglass short board

Important Information

Mandatory: Every participant must fill out a Heritage Christian School Release for Athletics.

There will be no official lessons. However, the hope is that the more experienced surfers will be willing to help the beginners to some degree.

We are always looking for experienced surfers to come help out and mentor the younger surfers!

Boogie Boarders are welcomed, but must be good swimmers.
