Option 1: School Portrait by Shriver Photography

There is NO FEE to take this picture and Shriver will send it directly to the Yearbook staff. However, Shriver Photography package prices will apply if you wish to purchase this photo. You only get one pose (headshot).

Dates: August 29 & 30, 2023 ONLY. See the school website for more details.

We will not edit this photo. If it doesn’t meet dress code, it will not be published.

Option 2: Senior Portrait by HCS Yearbook Staff

There will be different photo shoot locations on different dates during the summer to accommodate as many students as possible. Locations and dates will be announced as soon as they are secured.

Parents will receive an email with a link to book a senior portrait photo session which will be filled on a first come The link will also be posted on website.

The $40 fee will include a 15-minute session for one senior with one outfit.

If student is a Lifer, a photo will also be taken with the traditional cap and gown immediately following their 15 minutes portrait session. Parents and siblings are encouraged to be part of this photo.

While many pictures will be taken, you will receive edited versions of your 8 best photos (plus Lifer photos if applicable) on digital media via Google photos. You may download your photos and keep to use as you wish. You will choose one of these photos to submit for the yearbook along with your senior bio. Photos will be removed from the google drive at the end of the school year.

An additional "Lifestyle" session will be available to purchase which will give the option of an additional outfit change and the use of props. These would be ideal for senior announcements or senior tributes.
Please note: Unedited images (RAW files) will not be shared or distributed as it is neither a standard nor professional practice to do so. Please DO NOT ask for them.

Option 3: Senior Portrait by Photographer of Your Choice

Photos submitted must be PORTRAIT orientation (vertical), jpg format, and at least 2MB in size or the software program won’t accept them.

We will not edit this photo. If it doesn’t meet dress code, it will not be published.

Must be submitted by parent along with senior bio, not by your photographer. The yearbook staff will only communicate with you regarding senior photos, not other photographers or businesses.

Option 1: LIFER Photo If Using Shriver Photography

If using Shriver Photography for portraits, this cap and gown picture can be taken after your headshot portrait. A cap and gown will be available for you to use. There is no fee to take this picture and Shriver will send it directly to the Yearbook staff. However, Shriver Photography package prices will apply if you wish to purchase this photo.

Option 2: LIFER Photo If Using Yearbook Staff

If using the yearbook staff for portraits, this cap and gown picture will be taken at your senior photo session. Parents and siblings are encouraged to be part of the photo if they wish to do.

Option 3: LIFER Photo If Using A Photographer of Your Choice

If using a photographer of your choice, you may check out a cap and gown loaner from the office to have your photographer take this photo at your session. Parents and siblings are encouraged to be part of the photo if they wish to do so. Loan time is limited so make sure to contact the office to reserve a cap and gown loaner to coincide with your photography session.

What Is A LIFER?

This is a special yearbook recognition only for the graduating senior who has been privately homeschooled from kindergarten/1st grade through 12th grade either through a PSP or Private Affidavit. This doesn't have to be exclusively through HCS. For this recognition, homeschooling through a charter school does NOT qualify as a Lifer because a charter school is a public-school entity.
