The speech contest will be a blind judging, meaning no one will know whose speech they are reading. Scores will be based on content and heart not grammar or spelling. Giving a senior speech is an honor and a privilege and it is our hope that many of you will be compelled to enter the contest. This is your opportunity to bless those who attend with your testimony about your faith and your experience with home education. All entries must adhere to speech guidelines. See Learn More button for details.
We need to know who is planning on walking in the graduation ceremony. You will receive an email in advance of due date with a link to a google form asking if you will be participating and if so, you will be placing your order for cap and gown, diploma cover, and tassel. You may purchase more than one cap and/or tassel if you wish.
Make sure that you have checked your speech against the checklist and email to: mail@hcssd.org. See Learn More button for complete checklist.
Fees for previously ordered graduation materials will be due this date.
All seniors whether walking in the graduation ceremony or not, will receive an email with a link to a google form requesting your school activities and future plans. This information will be used to create the graduation program booklet.
Grades must be submitted to receive a diploma. Community college and Class Day grades can be summitted when available.
Seniors walking in the graduation ceremony MUST attend rehearsal. Parents participating in the Mission Accomplished (graduating their last senior) recognition, must have at least one parent attend the rehearsal. Cap & Gown distribution will happen at rehearsal. Make sure to pick yours up!
We want you and your family to enjoy your big day! We ask that you and your guests honor the commencement protocols in order to ensure a good and safe time for everyone. You can download the Graduation Hints an Helps pdf here.
