VICKI STORMOEN

Principal
Vicki has been privately homeschooling since 1994. She and her husband, Ron, have been blessed with nine children, seven of whom have graduated from Heritage Christian School. She is still homeschooling the remaining two children through HCS.

Vicki has served the HCS community in many roles over the years including class day coordinator, Grace Notes Choir co-founder and leader, the Annual Heritage Conference co-founder and speaker, as well as a teacher for the HCS Academy. Vicki has also taught homeschool classes to the broader homeschool community from her home for many years and is a former Classical Conversations tutor. She is passionate about the vision of private homeschooling as a means to raising a godly generation of students for the glory of Jesus Christ and is blessed to have the opportunity to serve and continue homeschooling alongside HCS families.

JANE RICHARDS

Assistant Principal/Registrar
Jane and her husband, Jeff, have five children. They have been part of Heritage Christian School since 1997. All of their children were enrolled in HCS for grades K-12. Jane and Jeff graduated their youngest son in 2020.

Jane has served in many roles at HCS including Class Day Coordinator for 7 years and Assistant Registrar during the same 7 year period.

Jane is passionate about homeschooling and is excited to continue pursuing this passion as she enters a new season with only adult children. She enjoys helping families navigate the incredible blessings of homeschooling and see her own children begin the homeschooling journey with her grandchildren.

TRACY WEST

School Accountant
In June of 1979 Tracy married John, father of three. Together they added three more daughters to the mix and today have increased their family with 7 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Tracy began working in the bookkeeping and income tax field in 1979. In obedience to the Lord in 1990, she moved her business into her home to be with her children full-time.

In 1996 she began homeschooling, joined the EC-1 admin team in 1998, started the EC-2 Class Day in 2003 as co-coordinator for five years and began working in the office in 2006. She homeschooled and graduated her three youngest daughters through HCS.

Lilia Sepulveda portrait

LILIA SEPULVEDA

Communications Manager
Lilia has been married to her husband, Mark, for 26 years. They homeschooled their three daughters for over ten years and graduated their last student in June of 2020. Her involvement at HCS includes two years as secretary of Drama Club parent board, Co-Chair of the Spring Formal committee, and Chair of  the Senior Banquet committee. 

Lilia's passion for graphic arts, photography, videography, and teaching led her to step in as the Yearbook Program  Advisor in 2018. She then  added the Visual Media Arts component to the program in 2019. In August of 2020 she joined the school's administrative staff and manages the web site, social media, newsletter,  marketing, and all graphic design needs. 

The Sepulveda family has been heavily involved in church ministry for many years. They are all passionate about using their God given gifts in God's kingdom which includes HCS. Lilia has previously served in various leadership roles including church and pastoral secretary, discipleship teacher, youth director, VBS director, Sunday School superintendent and children's ministry director. The family currently attends Lighthouse Church in East Chula Vista where her husband serves as a pastor.

judy beckmann

Club Manager
Judy and her husband, Ted, were blessed to homeschool their 6 kids, four of whom graduated from Heritage.

Judy had the privilege of serving in various volunteer roles throughout her years with Heritage, as a volunteer Coach for Volleyball and as an Assistant Coach for Basketball. Judy co-founded the basketball program and served as Director until graduating their youngest in 2018.

Her heart was for encouraging her teams to “...do all things to the glory of God.”, to work hard, work as a team and encourage one another to challenge themselves and to stay strong in their faith. She looks forward to working with club committees in the same way, as she and they encourage one another, working as unto the Lord.

vikki grieshaber

Field Trips/Library/Office
Vikki has been involved with Heritage since 1993. She has served in various capacities within the school such as but not limited to teaching at class days, serving as volleyball treasurer, basketball team mom, EC Class Day Coordinator for 5 ½ years, and now helps with the library, field trips, front desk, and RaiseRight fundraising. All of her children were homeschooled through elementary school, and she has graduated eight students from Heritage with the last two graduating in June 2024.

She has been married to Steve since 1980. They became Christians in 1981, and started building their family in 1983. Over the years they have welcomed thirteen children into their family. They currently have twenty-two grandchildren with another blessing due March 2024.

In the church Vikki has served in children’s ministries, church secretary, and many other duties.

Her interest lies in genealogy, cemetery headstone restoration, and cataloging veteran headstones at Greenwood Memorial Park. She is currently involved with the Daughters of the American Revolution serving as Regent for the Letitia Coxe Shelby Chapter, as Senior President for the local Children of the American Revolution- Presidio Hill Society, and as Registrar for the US Daughters of 1812.

emmie palacios

Events/Yearbook
Emmie was born and raised in San Diego. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Richard, and they have three children whom they have been homeschooling since 2012. Emmie considers it a blessing to be able to walk alongside each of them on their individual journeys and help them discover and develop the gifts the Lord has given them. She has even uncovered some of her own along the way.

In 2021, Emmie's family joined HCS and have been involved in the school's community through class days, clubs, and activities. Emmie has served as the Volunteer Coordinator for the Volleyball Club and as Secretary for the Surf Club, and she is looking forward to more opportunities to serve HCS families in her new role.

Emmie is an introvert and a hermit at heart, but she enjoys welcoming people and helping them get connected when she is not busy hiding herself in a corner.
