Danette is passionate about teaching young children and making learning fun, hands-on, and engaging. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from SDSU and a K-8 Teaching Credential from Chapman University. She taught Kindergarten through 2nd grades for the La Mesa-Spring Valley and Santee school districts for many years.
As a former Heritage homeschool mom, Danette also had the joy of serving as a Lead Kindergarten Teacher for HCS class days. Having seen firsthand the value and rewards of home based Christian education, it’s an honor and privilege to now use her experience and training to encourage other homeschool families. She is blessed to live in beautiful Alpine with her husband, two young adult daughters, and two very pampered cats. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, gardening, taking nature walks, and crafting.
This is Kasie's third year teaching first and second and has a love for this age group.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies and Teaching Credential at San Diego Christian College. She is also in the midst of completing her Master of Arts in Teaching.
Ever since the fourth grade, she has known that this is what God had in store for her life. Kasie loves serving alongside her husband at their church, and they are happily expecting their first child in the Fall of 2022.
Renee is homeschool mom who has a strong belief in helping young people find God’s purpose for their lives. She is passionate about parental involvement in the discovery of every child’s unique gifts. Renee has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She has experience as a 3rd grade teacher, a substitute teacher, and a homeschool mom. Her belief is that learning should be interactive, fun, and individualized.
She has 9 children and over 20 years of homeschool experience. Renee has attended and served in the same church for 28 years. Her family has especially enjoyed serving God by ministering to and sharing God’s love with active duty military members. Another favorite family activity is hiking and exploring nature together.
Raquel is a San Diego native who for the past five years has been teaching grades 4-6 in a Christian homeschool program. She is passionate about leading children to understand the Truth in all subjects of instruction by placing the Lord at the center.
Beginning her seventh year homeschooling her three sons, she delights in being humbled and strengthened through this journey. Motherhood and homeschooling remain her greatest callings.
With compassion and enthusiasm, she loves serving others. She is a volunteer soccer coach for AYSO, organizes Tijuana ministry outreaches, and serves on her church’s praise and worship team. Along with her family, she enjoys road trips around the United States where they experience hands-on learning and gratitude for God‘s creation.
Raquel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from San Diego State University and a Master’s Degree from Ashford University.
