Meet Our 2024-2025 Junior Academy Team

Lead

Jr academy lead

Wendy Steele is a native of the picturesque city of San Diego, where she was both born and raised. Alongside her husband Jon, she is the proud parent of two children. Their daughter is currently in 5th grade, while their son is beginning his educational journey in 1st grade.

Embarking on their third year of homeschooling, Wendy and Jon were introduced to Heritage through their church at Bonita Valley, a decision they have found both rewarding and fulfilling.

Wendy brings with her eight and a half years of experience in public service, a career she paused when her husband Jon ventured into entrepreneurship. This shift allowed Wendy to prioritize her family and support Jon in building his small business, affording her the flexibility to be actively involved in her children’s education.

Presently, Wendy participates in various educational programs such as Bonita Class Day, Del Cerro Class Day, and Jr. Academy. Outside of academics, the Steele family enjoys exploring the country in their RV, indulging in video games as a bonding activity, and visiting theme parks.

Looking forward, Wendy is excited about the opportunity to contribute to the Heritage community as the Jr. Academy Lead for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.
