Nagisa is originally from Aichi, Japan, and has been married to her husband, Manabu, for almost 23 years. Both N and M came to the United States as international students and were baptized here. They have three children. Their oldest graduated in 2025 and is now in college, and their two younger children are enjoying their high school years at HCS. The Torii family began homeschooling in 2020 and joined HCS in 2021. In her free time, Nagisa enjoys learning foreign languages on Duolingo and attending the women’s Bible study at her church on Saturdays.
