From summers detasseling corn in Minnesota to a year working at a Christian youth hostel in Amsterdam, Chris has always enjoyed learning new things and meeting new people. An introvert by nature, pushing forward has been a rewarding challenge. After college, she traveled and then managed a warehouse in Poway. She and her husband Jeff, both California natives, began their homeschooling journey with HCS when the oldest of their six children began kindergarten. Their kids have enjoyed class day co-ops, field trips, 6th-grade camp, and clubs - participating over the years in drama, basketball, football, beach volleyball, and softball.
The favorite part of the school day has been Read-Alouds with the family and a cup of coffee. Other interests include mountain and beach trips, reading, working in the garden, and discussing homesteading, sustainability, government, and apologetics. Chris enjoys finding common ground with people while standing firm in the truth of God’s word - a solid foundation in these rapidly changing times. His love never changes.
