Beth has a long-held interest in nurturing the musical aspirations of her family and the wider community. With a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance, her new husband initially put himself through seminary in part by operating a piano studio. After finishing her own Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering, she was able to play a small supportive role in his work in directing congregational singing and choirs in the churches he pastored in the Midwest. (As she was practicing as a full-time professional engineer for much of this time, it was mostly administrative.) After her family of six moved to San Diego seven years ago when her husband joined the U.S. Navy as a chaplain, she enjoyed seeing her children grow in their abilities in Heritage Christian School’s band. She is now excited to be able to apply her appreciation of music into the administrative aspects of the Choir Club as its Vice President
