Sarah grew up in the St. Louis area and moved to southern California with her husband, Michael, after they were married in 1999. Working in professional theatre and then teaching in the public school system, she had no intention of homeschooling her children when they came along. Several years and four children later all that changed and after 12 years of homeschooling she is a huge advocate of home education and finds it to be one of the most challenging and rewarding undertakings. She is grateful to Heritage for the support and friendships it has offered her family. 

Sarah enjoys learning new things, reading aloud to others, teaching, and most of all one on one deep conversations about the mysteries of life.
