As we kick off another school year, I just want to take a moment to say how excited we are to have you with us at Heritage Christian School. A new year always brings fresh opportunities; new friendships, new routines, and plenty of ways to see God at work in our students’ lives. Whether you’re brand new to homeschooling or have been part of HCS for years, this is a great time to reset and refocus on what really matters.
One of the things that makes HCS so special is the community we get to be involved in. There are so many clubs and activities your family can jump into this year. These are great ways to meet other families, build friendships, and feel connected to what’s happening at on and off campus. Take time to find out more about what HCS has to offer for your student!
It’s also worth taking time to remember why many of us chose homeschooling in the first place: to raise our kids with Christ at the center of their education. Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” This verse is a great reminder of why our time with HCS matters so much—not just for today, but for their future.
I'd also like to take the time to thank all of you who make Heritage so successful and running like a well oiled machine. The office staff, class day leads, academy leads, and club leaders do an amazing job leading our school and keeping the focus on a Christ centered educational experience outside of your homes. Finally, a continued thank you to the volunteers who are always willing to fill a role to further HCS’s mission.
On behalf of the Board, thank you for being part of Heritage. We’re looking forward to a year full of growing closer to Christ and each other.
