Luke was born in La Mesa, and grew up in Fletcher Hills until Middle School and then moved to Encinitas and graduated from San Dieguito High School. He then went to Palomar College for his AA and ultimately graduated from Cal State San Marcos with a Mathematics degree. Luke went on to get his teaching credential and a master’s degree and has been teaching High School math, and coaching multiple sports in San Diego for the past 17 years. He is currently working on a second Masters degree in Mathematics and hopes to move into teaching college mathematics soon.

Luke has been married for over 20 years to Kelli, his amazing wife, and they have 4 children, Joshua, Izzie, and the twins Levi and Declan. They live in El Cajon and serve at their church First Baptist of El Cajon, singing, playing music, teaching Sunday School, and helping out with the AV for church every weekend. They love road tripping, camping, hiking and being together as a family as much as they can.

Luke loves being outdoors, playing/watching sports, as well as gaming with his family and friends and wants to bring that energy to HCS as well.
